We don’t promote every ICO that pops up — most are hype with no staying power. But when something looks very hot or has the potential to be a good short-term cook, we write a guide so our community knows how to get in if they choose to. Our last two ICO guides were for Plasma and Pump.fun, and anyone who followed along managed to secure solid entries.
Of course, that doesn’t guarantee the same outcome here. There is always risk. But after reviewing the project, the launch setup, and the current excitement in the market, we believe MegaETH has a strong chance to be a profitable play — especially for early participants.
This is not a paid post, not a sponsored placement, nothing like that. We’re joining this sale ourselves, and we’re simply showing you how to do it too, step by step.
The recent Plasma token sale on Echo showed how powerful well-executed launches can still be. It raised tens of millions in minutes, starting at just $0.05 and eventually returning huge gains for early buyers. That moment shifted a lot of attention towards Echo and its token launch product Sonar, which aims to make public token sales more structured and transparent.
Now, the next big sale everyone is watching is MegaETH, a highly anticipated Ethereum Layer-2 project. Registration is open, and if you want a fair shot at allocation, you need to complete your KYC and account setup early.
This guide walks you through:
- How to complete KYC for the MegaETH sale
- How to set up your Echo account
- How to use Sonar
- How groups work and how to pick the right one
Even if you’re new — don’t worry. We’ll walk through everything step-by-step.
1. Preparing for MegaETH KYC
Registration for MegaETH is open until October 27. The identity review can sometimes take longer than expected, so it’s better to complete the process early rather than wait until the final days.
What You Need to Prepare
- A clear image or photo of your passport or driver’s license
- A smartphone that supports face scan verification
- A proof of address document from the last 3 months
(This can be a bank statement or utility bill where your name, address, and date are all visible)
Important note:
Addresses based in mainland China cannot be used for this KYC at the moment. Many participants use alternative proof of residence documents (for example: Hong Kong address proof, Singapore residency, EU residency, Latin America utility bills, etc.). It is normal and acceptable for your passport and address documents to be from different regions.
2. Start KYC From the MegaETH Registration Page
Community feedback shows that beginning the KYC verification from the MegaETH registration link tends to be smoother than starting inside Sonar first.
When the page loads, you’ll be asked to authorize the connection of your wallet and basic identity data. Simply click Authorize to continue.
3. Filling Out Your Profile
You will now be asked to fill in some personal and on-chain info, including:
- Your Twitter / X profile
- Discord username
- GitHub (optional)
It helps if these accounts look active rather than empty.
Next, look for the option to Add Additional Wallets. You can upload up to three wallets that have a history of meaningful on-chain activity. Wallets that show previous participation in Ethereum, DeFi, L2 usage, staking, bridging etc. can sometimes improve your chance of allocation during oversubscribed rounds.
Then connect your main wallet, ideally the wallet you have used most often.
Once that is done, click Manage on Sonar to begin the identity verification.
4. Completing Identity Verification in Sonar
Step 1: Upload Your Identity Document
Choose the option for identity verification and upload your passport or driver’s license.
Make sure:
- The image is high resolution
- All edges are fully visible (not cropped)
- Do not upload a screenshot (the system can detect this)
If the system has trouble reading your passport, try your driver’s license instead.
Step 2: Face Scan
Once your ID is uploaded, you’ll be asked to complete a liveness check.
- A QR code will appear
- Scan it with your phone
- Follow the on-screen instructions in a well-lit room
This usually takes under a minute.
Step 3: Upload Proof of Address
Upload the proof of address document you prepared earlier. Your name, address, and date must be clear.
If the upload fails, just try a different document. This is common and nothing to stress about.
Once approved, you’ll receive an email confirming your KYC success. On your MegaETH registration dashboard, your wallet should now display something like Qualified for this sale.
Be aware that sometimes there is a second verification step when the sale opens. Keep your documents handy and pay attention to notifications from Sonar and the official MegaETH channels.

5. Creating and Using Your Echo Account
Even after KYC for MegaETH is done, you still need to register your Echo account. Echo is the platform where groups form and where transactions are executed.
To create your Echo account, visit the Echo homepage and register. Then:
- Enable two-factor authentication (2FA)
- Link your X or Farcaster profile
- Choose your country of residence
- Confirm your user agreement
- Fill in your personal investment profile
The Investment Experience Questionnaire
Echo will ask about your income range, net worth level, investment history, and understanding of risk. These questions determine which types of token sales you are allowed to access. It helps to answer consistent with having at least moderate investment experience.
If any question is unclear, keep answers simple and realistic. You can always ask me to review your answers before submitting.

6. Joining Groups on Echo
Groups are one of the core features of Echo. They allow groups of users to pool their investment behind a group leader, who handles sourcing deals. If the deal performs well, the leader receives a share of the profits. If not, everyone loses together.
When joining groups:
- Look for large, active groups
- Prefer leaders with known reputations in crypto
- Avoid small private groups with unclear track records
You can see each group’s member count and recent deals before deciding to join.
Groups are optional, but joining a strong group can help secure allocations in oversubscribed sales.

Final Thoughts
MegaETH has become one of the most talked-about upcoming launches on Echo. The hype is there, the narrative is strong, and the sale mechanics could allow for solid upside — especially if the initial float is handled well.
But as always:
This is not guaranteed profit.
This is not financial advice.
This is simply how to get ready, from start to finish, so you don’t miss your chance because of KYC delays or account setup issues.
We’re joining this one ourselves — and if you decide to do the same, now you know exactly how.
